Nokia N9 Specs: First Smartphone with Dolby Digital Plus

Nokia N9 almost rectangular. There are no arches in each corner that makes the phone feel 'very box' when gripped. Meanwhile, the appearance of fashionable casing can attract everyone who looking at. Nokia deliberately designed it to look sassy and fashionable with three choices of colors, black, magenta (pink) and cyan.

At the front of the phone is fully screen, thus leaving only a few edges. No wonder, if Nokia N9 dubbed as an all screen Smartphone. To move between the Home View, simply shifting your index finger to the left and right. Its AMOLED screen is very sensitive to touch. Shifting Home View feels smooth and there is no lag.

The other thing on the screen is a front VGA camera. Its tiny size and it lies at the bottom right corner, difficult to recognize its existence.

On the right side of the phone there are two silver buttons, which placed at the top is use as the volume settings. Below is smaller, used to 'wake' the phone from the condition is not being used.

Uniquely, usually the simcard slot inserted adjacent to the battery, the N9 actually slipped on the top of the phone. N9 neatly hides the USB port and simcard slot. The location of this slot gives advantages when installing the simcard. No need to open the case and battery because it can be done simply by moving the slot up. Near the USB port and sim card slot that cover by pop-up cover, there is also a headphone jack.

At the bottom of the phone, there are speakers. Nokia claims the N9 as the first Smartphone in the world that equipped with Dolby Digital Plus, the speaker present the surround sound experience, even when used with any brand headphones. When tested, the result sound is quite good. Even at full volume, hear no hoarse.
Armed with Carl Zeiss Tessar lens, the camera 8 MP is able to produce satisfactory images. The results seem clear, both within and outside the room. Similarly invisible noise when used in a dark room or night. The N9’s camera can also be relied upon to record high quality video definition.

8 MP camera is located in the middle of the back of the phone body. This position makes it easy to focus when shooting. But in other respect, the camera is easily to get dirty when held or vulnerable damage when being laid.

Lastly, Nokia N9 has been equipped with the Near Field Communication (NFC) technology. NFC is the latest wireless technology that allows users to share mobile content such as photos, videos and phone number, simply by touching the device. Clearly, this function can work only with phones that also support NFC.
