No doubt if Acer Aspire S3 has a seductive view. All parts of its body wrapped in aluminum alloy material which proved strong, lightweight, and provides a premium style for people who use it.
This portable computer is also very thin. When closed, the thickness no more than a 1 TB external hard drive to date. Even so, weighs only 1.35 kg as well, a bit heavier than most 10.1-inch netbooks.
The keyboard, touchpad, and Windows 7 and Intel Core i5 logo on the Acer Aspire S3 has a color similar to the body, silver. Each of the keys is so comfortable, not noisy when used for typing quickly. But unfortunately the 4-way arrow keys are too small. As for the touchpad, both right and left click buttons are integrated in it.
Acer Aspire S3 also has a ports layout that decent for two thumbs up. Two USB ports and an HDMI port and charger port are placed in the rear, while on the left there is only 3.5 mm audio port and on the right there is a card reader slot. Such designs are proven to increase user comfort.
More and more comfortable thanks to the hot exhaust air which is put in the back and the screen Acer Aspire S3 could barely bend to 180 degrees, wow!
Something that makes so distinctive from most other laptops, the battery release lever is not found. Yes, the Acer Aspire S3 has a unibody design that requires special handling when changing the battery.

Acer Aspire S3 uses an Intel Core i5-2467M 1.60 GHz, a 'brain' that was designed for minimum energy but still powerful. When used to open the HTML 5 web-base, watching a high definition video, open an office application and image processing at the same time, this product still able to handle properly.
But don’t think to use this product for play a game like DiRT 3 or Assassins Creed. The Acer Aspire S3 is not designed for that purpose, but rather to the user who prioritizes the battery saving and easy to carry around.
Acer Aspire S3 comes with 13-inch screen 1366 x 768 pixels, large enough if it only used to process the document. While for watching HD movies, although the screen is too small but it looks very good, the lighting look fit with fairly sharp detail.
At the left corner of the Acer Aspire S3 seen a post “Dolby Home Theater”, suggests this product already supports Dolby technologies. Whether it is music, movies or games will be heard “thundering” through this laptop. Unfortunately, need to use external speakers, while speakers in this product are only capable of producing improvised sound.
Pros:
+ Attractive design
+ Light
+ Performance is quite good
Cons:
- Battery life time is not as promised
