How to Choose Right Cozy Sports Bras for Exercise

Women’s sports bras have evolved from the chest bindings that were often used before to keep breasts from bouncing when exercising or doing strenuous activities. Instead of compression, modern sports bras put emphasis on shaping and support. Women who are involved in many physical activities purchase the padded sports bras expecting them to give the control and the protection they need and most of all they expect that they will help them to stay comfortable. To meet their expectations, padded sports bras have different selections, from a light support, medium and maximum support, to soft cup padded and wired or regular straps to racer back straps. Women who exercise – even a little – should never do it without wearing a good sports bra. It is important that the breasts remain in one place while you are bouncing around or falling down.

Sports bras may also be worn by women following breast surgical procedures. In those situations, a front closing sports bra with a compression, seamless cup is recommended for healing and comfort. Sports bras are functional garments that are made to be in motion. Buying a sports bra is necessary if you are going to be doing any kind of serious training in sports. Sports bras protect the anatomy of a breast by reducing stretching and stress on the breast tissue.

Sports bras with a traditional hook closure system are readily available and you will also sometimes find zippers in place of hooks. A zip front sport is a style that smaller breasted women find comfortable and easy to put on. Sports bras support the breasts and minimize breast motion during exercise. Finding a bra that provides enough support for your level of activity is essential. Sports bras need to be replaced because the elasticity in the bra's support material starts to weaken.

Wearing a good sports bra benefits you not only in the short term, but in the long term, too, as it lessens the likelihood of sagging and discomfort. Wearing the wrong bra when working out could have a negative and irreversible effect on your breasts. A standard bra may reduce your breasts’ movements by 40%, while a bra specially-made for sports will reduce bouncing by more than 70%.

Women with a larger-sized chest need substantial fabrics, straps that are at least 1 inch wide, a higher neckline, wider rib bands and a really sturdy cup. This bra really holds you in.
